OVERVIEW
Smartlead is a cold email and outbound platform used by sales teams and lead-gen agencies to run sequenced campaigns across many sending mailboxes, warm inboxes, and track replies. Agentcy connects to your Smartlead account with a read-only API key (BYOK) so you can ask plain-language questions about campaign performance, deliverability, and lead status without clicking through the Smartlead dashboard, right inside Claude, ChatGPT, or your preferred AI client.
This integration is read-only by design. Agentcy never sends email, creates or pauses campaigns, or changes leads. Ask an account-wide question like "how is my outbound doing this month" and Agentcy pulls each campaign's analytics and reads back one synthesized answer (reply rate, best campaign, bounce trend) instead of a wall of raw rows. It can go deep too: per-sequence-step performance, per-lead reply categories, inbox-warmup health by mailbox, and the full message thread for any prospect.
Pairs especially well with GA4 and your CRM to close the loop on outbound: of the prospects Smartlead emailed, which replied, which hit your site, and which entered the pipeline.

Sign in to Smartlead

Go to Settings and open API & Webhooks

Copy your API key

In the Agentcy portal, go to Services and enable Smartlead for your account

Toggle on the domain you want to connect, or click Enable for all domains if you want it active everywhere

4Read-only by policy. Agentcy never sends email, creates or pauses campaigns, or changes leads. Use Smartlead directly for any sending or campaign changes.
API access requires a paid Smartlead plan. Rate limits scale with your plan tier, so very heavy querying on a lower tier can return a rate-limit response. Agentcy caches results for 5 minutes to smooth this out.
Daily and per-sequence breakdowns are capped at a 30-day window per request. Ask about a specific period and the brain picks the right window.
There is no single account-wide stats endpoint in Smartlead. For account-wide questions Agentcy lists your campaigns and reads each one's analytics, then synthesizes the combined answer — which is exactly the kind of multi-step work the agent handles for you.
